Buenos Noches Los Babes

Thanks for stopping by another edition of Nightly Candy. A very quick note for all of you Dave Matthew Band fans.  In the  Memorial Tribute section of the  Grammy Awards show, they somehow omitted  Grammy winner and founding member of the Dave Matthew’s Band, LeRoi Moore from the list of fallen musicians.

I think they made a huge mistake!

Moore died from complications from an ATV accident he suffered on June 30, 2008. In this accident Moore broke several ribs and punctured a lung. He died on August 19 due to complications from this accident.  Moore played bass, baritone, tenor, alto, and soprano saxophones, as well as the flutebass clarinet the wooden penny whistle, and the oboe for one show on June 14, 2008 in Hartford, Connecticut, just over two weeks before his accident.

LeRoi Moore was an amazing musician, a Grammy winner, and a part of one of the most influential bands in music history.  The Grammy committee should be totally ashamed an issue an apology for this blunder!

LeRoi Moore wrote the hit songs “Too Much” and “Stay” for DMB.

Enjoy this live rendition of “Too Much”

Rest in peace LeRoi! Nightly Candy remembers you and the millions of Dave Matthew Band fans remember too!

More Soon..
